Even groups can apply together for the chance to win a free flight for every member. So a choir that wishes to perform in Rome, or a relay team with a mentor in America, could get one step closer to reaching their goals.
If you're 16 or over, reside in the UK and are of British nationality then you're eligible to apply. Whatever the destination, as long as British Airways flies there, your dream could come true. With the public's help, you could win the flight that ignites your career.
APPLYING IS SIMPLE WITH OUR TWO STEP PROCESS
STEP 1 - Tell us about yourself and your talent
- You have 2000 characters in which to convey your past experiences, and another 2000 to tell us how winning could change your life. The more concise and poignant you are, the more you're likely to capture public support. So try to use punchy, powerful language.
- Once you've applied you can't edit your story, so try to make it as emotive as possible.
- Share your goals, highs and lows and any obstacles you've had to overcome so far. If you've fought tooth and nail to get to where you are now, we want to hear all about it.
- Tell us the destination you dream of flying to and how going there would change your career.
STEP 2 - Show us your journey so far
- Here, you can upload any content that supports your application and shows what you're capable of. You can add up to 3 music clips, 1 piece of video footage, 5 images and 1 block of text.
- Make sure you only upload content that brings your story to life and has maximum impact.
- You can save your application and revisit it to upload more content, but once it's been submitted you cannot make changes.
HOW WINNERSARE CHOSEN
- Once you have applied and uploaded your files, you will be showcased on the Great Britons website.
- Each round an independent panel of judges will select the strongest entries, and publish their shortlist on the site.
- Then friends, family and the general public vote to choose the winning entries.
